SCPA Statement (Benjamin Poole)

 Pickleball 101 

Start Date: November 4

 Every Saturday from 9:00am-10:00am

This class is a 4-week class for beginner players 

with a rating of 2.0 to 3.0. 

Here you will learn the fundamental skills necessary

 to play a game of pickleball. 

Week 1: Serve- Technique and placement. Brief history lesson.

Week 2: Return of Serve. First game of pickleball is introduced.

Week 3: Forehand/Backhand Volley and Ready Position.

Week 4: Dinking- stroke mechanics and when to use this shot.

Pickleball 102 

Start Date: November 4

Every Saturday from 10:15am-11:15am

This is a 4-week class for players 

with a rating of 2.5 to 3.0. 

Here you will learn important shots 

that are vital to improving your level of play. 

Week 1: Drop Shot- balance, footwork; knowing when to transition forward on this shot.

Week 2: Groundstroke- balance, footwork; knowing when to transition forward on this shot.

Week 3: Block Volley- how to block drives.

Week 4: Rolls and Volleys- take these shots out of the air

 and keep opponents back.

Private Lessons

If you want to learn aspects of pickleball on a smaller student-instructor ratio, then private lessons are for you. Private lessons are catered to your needs and can be used to better understand a strategy, shot, or skill.
