What is the Spalding County Pickleball Association?

  • The Spalding County Pickleball Association (SCPA) is a 501C3 non-profit which has partnered with Spalding County to be the exclusive program provider at the Spalding County Pickleball Complex.

   • The SCPA is a volunteer led organization made up of fellow pickleball enthusiasts.  

•      Our mission is to grow and promote pickleball in Spalding County and the surrounding area.

•      Proceeds from Spalding County Pickleball Association memberships, program registration fees, business sponsorships, etc. will be used toward SCPA program costs.   

How Can I Volunteer to Help?  

• We would love your help. There is a need for volunteers at many positions.  Please sign up on the Volunteer page.

Is There a Cost to Play at Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park?  

• Absolutely not. 

Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park is a Spalding County public facility.

Is There a Cost to Join the Spalding County Pickleball Association? 

• The Spalding County Pickleball Association does charge a nominal annual membership fee to help support the programs that we offer.   

• The many benefits to becoming a SCPA member are shown on the Membership page.    

Does it Cost to Participate in a Program?  

• The registration fee for any program or event that has a registration fee will be displayed with the online event registration.

In Addition to Programs, Are There public Open Play Times?  

• Yes! Public Open play times, along with other SCPA Sponsored Play times are on the Home page.  See https://spaldingpickleball.com

• Open play is always free.  

• Open play offers a great opportunity to meet and play with different people.   

Will Lessons be Offered?  

• Yes.

Can Courts be reserved?  

• Courts for special events can be reserved by contacting us at spaldingpickleball@gmail.com.  

• Courts have been reserved for SCPA clinics, classes, open play, round robins and other SCPA events.    

Is there parking available at Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park?

• Yes.  

What if all the courts are full?

•  All 18 of the Wyomia Tyus Pickleball Courts are reaching capacity at certain times of both day and night on a regular basis now. Because of this, the SCPA Board is asking all for your help during these times. 
• We request that all players should rotate off their courts after 2 games if there are people waiting to play. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. 
• We hear almost daily how friendly and welcoming the people are at our courts and we want to continue in that spirit. 
• Please remember the first time you came to play Pickleball;  if no one had allowed you to play, you would not be enjoying this great game of Pickleball today.
